I ·My story
Roots, paths and transformations
I was born and raised in Nice, France, in 1967. The call of nature and animals brought me to Italy, where I began studying veterinary medicine. But life, unpredictable and surprising, led me down another road: my creative side took over, guiding me towards a path made of matter, shapes and emotions.
Today I live in Pietralunga, in a small stone house surrounded by nature. Here, among the scents of the woods and the song of the wind, I have found my balance. On the ground floor I created my workshop, a place that also extends outdoors, where nature is not just an inspiration but a living part of the creative process.
Among stones, wood and fragments of iron, I gather what the land offers me and turn it into works that tell stories. Each piece is a meeting between time and matter, between past and present. I let myself be guided by the sounds, scents and colours around me, giving new life to forgotten elements and joining them to a material as timeless as iron.

II ·Genius Loci
The soul of places
I deeply believe that every place has its own Genius Loci, an invisible soul that makes it unique and sacred. Every creature, every stone, every hidden corner is filled with an energy that brings it to life.
Stopping to listen and observe is the first step to grasping its essence, to feeling the deep bond that ties us to the land. Places call to us, speak to us, follow us and, when we are ready, reveal their most intimate side. Being able to interpret this voice is a true creative miracle.

A dialogue with nature
My workshop is not just a place to work but a place of connection with nature. Here, among tools, raw materials and works in progress, I create unique pieces born from the dialogue between people and landscape. Each creation is the result of an encounter between gathered elements and lived impressions, a balance between matter and soul.

Through my works I want to tell stories, awaken emotions and encourage respect for nature and traditions. Each creation is a fragment of a place, an echo of time carrying the memory of the land and its people.

Are the works one of a kind?
Yes. Every sculpture is made by hand, without lasers, moulds or series production: no two works are the same.
How can I see the works in person?
At the showroom in Montone, in the heart of the village. It is best to book your visit through the contact form, so that I can welcome you properly.
What materials does Alberto Alunni use?
Mainly iron, forged or in sheet form, often combined with stones, wood and roots gathered in the woods around Pietralunga.
